ELEVEN NINE

ELEVEN NINE

ELEVEN NINE

Based on a true story, ELEVEN NINE explores the intimate and devastating moment when a romantic relationship fractures under the weight of society's deepest prejudices. In an ordinary café, through a monologue interrupted by sudden lapses in time, the protagonist confronts the end of her commitment by revealing cruel thoughts about adoption and the disability of her partner's brother. With a mundane and everyday staging, the film reflects how social judgments infiltrate intimacy and expose the individualism of contemporary life, a tension that resonates with the film's title, inspired by November 9th, World Adoption Day.

Some dream of being parents. Everyone dreams of being children. I believe that when an orphan finds a home, the world becomes a little more just.

Let us not underestimate the power of family: it is and must be the structure that holds our society. And there is no greater and more beautiful act than to make a family.

Meet those who make it possible for more YOUNG PEOPLE to find a family.

Meet those who make it possible for more YOUNG PEOPLE to find a family.

The worst enemy of an institutionalized child is time, because each day that goes by without a family, their chances of being adopted decrease and the risk of losing hope for a home increases.

The most affected continue to be girls, boys, and teenagers whose worst mistake is to grow up.

Francisco López González, Social Worker.
